About Me

Chertsey, Surrey, United Kingdom
Hello, I'm Jill - mother of three grown up children and wife to Geoff. I have been crafting one way or another for as long as I can remember. In the1990's I discovered quilling and in 2009 I began selling my quilled card designs online (https://folksy.com/shops/PaperDaisyCardDesign) - this continues to go from strength to strength. My blog "Paper Daisy Cards" features my handmade cards, quilled or otherwise! More recently I re-discovered rubber stamping and became an Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator, showcasing and selling high quality paper crafting materials including rubber stamps, inks, cardstock, punches and dies. My blog "Paper Daisy Crafting" features my creations made with Stampin' Up! products, a list of all the papercrafting classes I run, all the latest news and offers and a link to my online shop , so that you too can join in the fun!

Quilled Engagement card

Hi again everyone,

One of my customers emailed me to ask if I could make a customised version of this card:

She wanted a card for an engagement, but in bright modern colours. She suggested bright orange and cerise pink. I love it when buyers challenge my preconceptions about which colours might work. I'm not sure I would have thought of using these colours together but I love the result!

As I don't have any engagement cards in my Etsy or Folksy shops at the moment, I will list this card to see what happens, but not until the end of May, just in case the couple the card is intended for, look at my shops.

But then I thought that this card might make a good birthday card:

What do you think?

See you next time,

Jill

  1. I am more than happy to discover you have a blog! I love your cards, so elegant, so delicate, so bright! They are a real inspiration for me, and even in the days I am not in the mood for quilling I like to visit your stores and watch your cards.
Now I can read a little about the making of these cards and I am happy for this:)
Thank you very much for sharing your work!
    Wish you a wonderful day!
